23DC’s newly designed house in the heart of the city Jalandhar has it all! Character, design, minimalism are a few words to describe it. We at 23DC take care of the finest and the minutest details while designing a residential project, which of course is well reflected in this one! The house spreads in an area of close to 500 square yards and is a corner property. Our projects are getting noticed all around the world and we hope this one will make ripples as well! The “sun-screen” house as we call it, has been designed on the basis of an old Indian architectural feature called the “jaali”. Primarily, jaalis would be used in old Indian palaces to create a “jet” effect of air as it passes through it. In addition, jaali would also act as a natural ‘sunscreen’, thus making the place climatically comfortable to live in. Some of our traditional and old elements tend to lose grace gradually with time as the world makes a leap towards modernization and technology, but if improvised-with, these elements/features can do wonders with the design!
